Design and build a custom VPC from scratch. Configure public and private subnets, set up internet and NAT gateways, define security groups, and understand network ACLs. Networking is where Solutions Architects earn their title.
Build event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, expose them via API Gateway, and wire services together using SQS queues and SNS topics. Modern cloud applications run on this stack.
Go deep on AWS Identity and Access Management: roles, policies, permission boundaries, and least-privilege design. Add encryption with KMS, audit with CloudTrail, and enforce compliance with AWS Config.
Study the AWS Well-Architected Framework's five pillars. Apply everything from weeks 1–6 to design and deploy a full-stack cloud solution as your capstone project, committed to GitHub as portfolio evidence.

Must be enrolled in an IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related technical course of study.
On-site attendance required, 1.5 hours per day for the full 8-week duration of the apprenticeship.
